New Catalogue!!!

A reason to smile.

Good day to you all. I have entitled this post "A reason to smile", as the stamp set I used to create these two cards is a new stamp set from Stampin Up! called A reason to smile. Nevertheless in reality it has been a different story. I will endeavour to enlighten you. Unfortunately I haven't had much to smile about lately. I have had 2 very bad falls within the last 6 weeks, the first fall, I fell when I had popped to Spalding, ambulance had to take me to hospital as I had cracked my head open, resulting in it having to be glued. Then the second fall happened 2 weeks ago today. I fell at home on to our tiled conservatory floor, fracturing my elbow and breaking my ribs. Again having to be taken to hospital via ambulance. So I am out of action for at least 6 weeks. Needless to say I am in such alot of pain.

Last night was the first night I was able to go to bed, I have been sleeping in a chair for 2 weeks because of my broken ribs I couldn't lay down. So definitely suffering from sleep deprivation now (yawn) lol,

So in all, I haven't had much to smile about.

I do hope that your all OK. I am sat in my conservatory typing one handed enjoying the sunshine. Not being able to make cards etc is driving me insane. Only 4 weeks to go till I can hopefully get back to normal, including driving.

These two cards I made just before my last fall. I love the stamp set I used, it kind of lends itself to anything really. Well I will sign off now. Hope you like. Thanks for stopping by, lots of hugs, Lou. X x

A Faux Book

Hi there, hope your all well and enjoying the weekend. The sun is shining and it's nice and warm out so that is a bonus. The nights are pulling in now and it certainly does feel very autumnal outside in the evenings. So I will probably feel more like being in my craft room a lot more now in the evenings, especially as the football season is back in swing, much to Bru's delight.

I am not feeling too good today, so just resting at home although hope to go in craft room later as I have a wedding gift to make for a friend. I was in agony last week with chronic toothache, in which eventually I had to give in and visit the dentist. I had to have 2 back teeth out.

Anyway thought I would upload some pictures of a faux book card I made for a lovely friend of mine called Anne. It was her birthday and she loves her birds, so i themed her card on birds for her. Hope you like. Thanks for stopping by. Have a good weekend. Enjoy!!! Hugs Lou. x x

I'm back!!!

A very good evening to you all. I know it's late, but I wanted to update you all before I go to bed. Hope you have all been well. I have not been well for a good few months, but I am pleased to say that I am now hopefully on the up and feeling brighter. I am blessed to have a loving husband, family and some lovely friends who have all been a great support to me.

I so wanted to upload some recent cards I have made but unfortunately I am having issues uploading them this evening. So I will get onto sorting that out tomorrow. I do hope you have all had a good summer so far. We have eventually had some nice weather, thank goodness.

I did an all day class at Jean and Alan's card shop (AJ's Cardcraft) in Stamford last month, it was a full class and we really had a good day. The ladies made 6 cards, 3 Christmas and 3 general. A good day was had by all. Looking forward to the next one. We haven't arranged a date for the next one yet.

Well it is after midnight now, so really must go and get my shower and then off to bed, will upload photo's as soon as I can (hopefully tomorrow). thanks for stopping by. Hugs to you all. Lou. x x

Hello.....

Hello to you all, I am happy to say I am back with you in blog land. Hope this post finds you all well. Well we are in June and I am hoping for some nice weather, it is summer after all.

I made this card for a lovely lady called Judy, it was her birthday last week. Judy is one of the many lovely ladies who attend Jean's (AJ's at Stamford) card making classes. We all have such a giggle, oh and coffee and cake. Judy's favourite colour is blue, so I came up with this card. I love Tilda so much. She lends herself to any occasion.

I did my first craft fair this weekend and I must say I absolutely loved it. Met some lovely people too, so friendly.

Saturday's Class

Good evening everyone!!! I really cannot believe it is May already. I am very pleased to tell you I had my first class on Saturday, I had 7 lovely ladies who came to my house and made 3 cards. It was a lovely morning/afternoon. 


There was plenty of cups of tea and cake on offer too, I made Bru (hubby) head of teas and coffees. He did a grand job, bless him. 


The first card made was using the Stampin Up! young vermilion stamp, along with the Stampin Up! En Francais background stamp, I was very pleased how it turned out. A bit of ripping and tearing, ribbon, inking around the edges, oh and a doily and voila!!


The next card we made was using the Create a Cupcake stamp set from Stampin Up! and matching punch, I do love this set, this particular one I made for my niece to give to her Mum for her birthday. We also used the pennant parade stamp set and pennant punch. 

Lastly we made a very quick and simple card with one of the Stampin Up! hostess sets called Simply Soft, although I don't have a sentiment on mine, some of the ladies added a sentiment to theirs. I really did enjoy the class. Hope the ladies did too. This is a lovely stamp set, which I think lends itself to any occasion.

Marry me!!

An early good morning to you all. I am up early as taken my step son Josh to work for 6am. So thought as I am up I would come and update my blog. How are you all?

Sorry to say its raining again, hoping for some sunshine soon, to cheer us all up.

My niece Sue asked me if i would make her a anniversary card for her Mum (my sister) and Dad's wedding anniversary, 33 years married on Saturday. I was 6, I remember it like yesterday, especially the bright pink floral dress and headband that wouldn't stay on. Lol. Anyway moving on, so this is the card, Ive used the Stampin up! Marry me stamp set, its lovely, kept it simple, as think the image says it all.

I would just like to give my friends Jean and Alan a mention, they have a lovely shop in Stamford, Lincs called AJ's Card Craft, just at the side of North Street car park, a must have visit for any card maker/scrapbooker. Jean also holds classes Wednesday's and Thursday's for anybody wanting to make cards etc, whether your new to card making or an advanced card maker. you will receive a warm welcome and have a lovely time crafting with some lovely ladies, whom I now call friends.
