Creative Card Crew Challenge #36

Good morning!!!
Its been a couple of weeks since I've blogged so I hope you are all well and have been enjoying what sunshine we have had. Still needs to warm up a bit still though. Had a relaxing weekend. It soon gets round to monday again.

It is time for another challenge over at Creative Card Crew and this fortnights challenge is.........

White on white.

Our sponsor for this challenge is

I really love the dies and stamp sets that Marianne Design create. They are so versatile and make any project look really special.

The card I have made for this challenge is quite special to me as I have used a photo of my Mum when she was very young. I sadly no longer have my Mum here or my Dad but I think of them often and will keep this card on my desk.

I have used the Marianne Design Anja Squares Dies for this card, they layer up beautifully, I have also used their flower dies from their Creatables range. The ovals are from Spellbinders.

Here is my card, I hope you like it!!!

I am going to make my Sister one too as I'm sure she would like one for her dresser.
My Dad always kept a photo like this of my Mum in his wallet.
She was a very kind and loving lady and a Mum in a million.

Anyway that's all for now, why not enter our challenge this fortnight. Have fun and good luck!!!

Thanks for stopping by, Hugs Lou. xxxx

At last!!!

Hi to you all.
How is your week going???

As the title reads on this post "at last"............at last I have got a moment to upload the picture of the most recent project I made. I gave you a sneak peek last week. Well here it is.................

A shadow box card. I saw the idea on You Tube by a lady called EverBloomingCrafts. A fabulous tutorial.

I have used Tilda holding a birdcage, coloured her with my Copics. Used some Magnolia paper too. The punch I used for the borders was Martha Stewart's deco fan. I also used Spellbinders bitty blossoms. The butterflies are a die from Stampin Up! called beautiful wings. They are just so lovely!!!

So here it is.............

Hope you like it.
It was lovely to make.

Well it's late and I am very tired. I also have the dentist tomorrow. So not looking forward to that. But at least it's nearly the weekend.
Goodnight and thanks for stopping by.

A Sneak Peek!!!

Good evening to you all.
Hope you have all had a great weekend.

At least it's getting a little warmer now. Looking forward to some BBQ's this summer. We have a wedding to go to in June, one of my old school friends is getting married. My stepson Josh is good friends with her husband to be as they work together and he has been asked to be best man. He said it would be an honour Bless him. We celebrated Josh's birthday yesterday, he was 24.

I have been busying away in my craft room this evening working on a project. I am going to give you all a sneak peek this evening but really want to photograph it in daylight. So will do that tomorrow and upload onto my blog afterwards.

So Monday again tomorrow. I have a busy week, I am taking the classes for Jean at AJ's this week. I do enjoy teaching the ladies. hope they enjoy what I have planned for them. We always have fun and a lovely lady named Jackie always makes a gorgeous cake for us all to enjoy. Thank you Jackie!!!

Well will sign off now and head to bed. The dogs are having their grooms tomorrow so a busy start to the day. Sleep well and see you all tomorrow.

Faux tile card

Good evening to you all.
Did you have a good Easter with lots of treats???
We enjoyed ours, a very relaxing weekend.

I enjoyed a morning crafting with the lovely ladies at AJ's in Stamford yesterday. They had had some new goodies arrive at the shop. The new 2013 summer Molly Bloom stamps, some A4 embossing folders, new memory box dies and also the new Fiskars advantedge punch system and cartridges.

I have a little card to share with you this evening, its for a friend who has had some sad family news recently, I do hope this cheers her up. It only measures 2.5" x 3.5" so not that big. I think it is still quite sweet though.
Anyway I hope you like and it may inspire you to try to re-create one like it. The little tiles are 1" square. lightly stuck them together while I stamped my image, then I coloured my image before I then moved my little squares and re-positioned them using some foam tape on the back to give them some dimension onto some brown card stock, then matted onto some cream and then green. Used a little thinking of you sentiment to just finish it off.

Anyway thats all for now, thanks for stopping by,
Hugs, Lou. xx

Creative Card Crew challenge #32

Good Morning!!!

It's time for another challenge over at the Creative Card Crew challenge blog.
This fortnight our challenge is 'Masculine' and is being sponsored by...

Where you can get all your scrapbooking, papercraft, sewing, knitting and many other supplies from. Why not pop over to their website and take a look around.

I have to admit, I am not the most creative person when it comes to making masculine cards. I think that's because I love everything 'girly'. I really struggled when it came to my husbands Brian's 50th in February as I couldn't think what to make for him. Eventually I made him a card and although I wasn't overwhelmed with it, he was, bless him. Needless to say he is easily pleased.

Anyway onto the card I have used as inspiration for the challenge.
I have used the Autumn Days stamp set from Stampin Up! which is sadly retired now. I am so glad I have it though as I think it lends itself perfectly to a 'mans' card.

  So here it is...

I have used SU cardstock, early espresso, crumbcake and very vanilla and my SU markers in old olive, cherry cobbler, cajun craze, early espresso and more mustard to colour the pheasant, leaves and grasses. Also used the tiny tags stamp set and punch for the sentiment. 3D'd some of the leaves for dimension and to finish off used a ribbler to ribble a piece of sahara sand card stock for the bottom half of the card.

Hope you like it!!!
Why not enter the challenge yourself.
Have fun and good luck!!!

Hugs

Birdhouse Treat Box

Happy weekend everyone!!!

Are you all well? I really wish now that spring would come. I remember March last year was quite warm for us, let's hope it may happen again. Would be lovely to have some sunshine. I really think the sun lifts our mood.

I just wanted to share this little birdhouse treat box with you that I made this evening. I saw a tutorial of it on YouTube and decided to try and make one.......and this is the result.

It's super cute and great for Easter treats. I am going to fill mine with Mini Eggs.

I am watching old comedies while I am busy crafting away in my craft room. They certainly don't make the programmes like they used to. Only when I laugh is on at the mo, classic comedy and very funny. Enjoy your evening!!!

Thanks for stopping by, hugs Lou. Xx

I have also been making some little Easter treats which you can see over at my SU! Blog. Well I will say goodnight to you all, will be back again soon.

Easel card.

Well it's Thursday already and I have another card to share with you. Are you all having a good week? We will soon be at the weekend again.
This Sunday is Mother's Day I will be spending the day with my sister, she is coming over for lunch with her husband. Sadly, our mum passed away some years ago so we haven't got her with us to spoil and pamper but we will be thinking of her as always.
Also on Sunday the 'Mid Lent Fair' comes into Stamford for its annual visit. Very exciting!!! Stamford is a stunning old town to stroll around but with the smell of hot dogs, burgers and onions and not to forget cotton candy in the air it makes it even better.
The card I've made is an easel card, I have used a Gorjuss girl stamp, I just think they are gorgeous. Love em!!! Hope you like.
Well best get ready, going off to see the crafting ladies this morning. Have a good day and thanks for stopping by. Hugs, Lou. Xxxx

Creative Card Crew challenge #31

Hello, I hope this post finds you all well.
It's time for another fortnightly challenge over at the Creative Card Crew blog.

This fortnight our challenge is.........Ribbon.

This challenge is being sponsored by

I have used a Delicious Doodles image on the card I have made for the challenge, the image is called 'Poppy'.

I love this image, it was lovely to colour in using my Copics. As the challenge is ribbon and I am not the best at making bows (even with using bunny technique lol). I used my ribbon to make a flower, just twisted and rolled it around to get the shape and then placed it at the side of the image. I chose brown/beige cardstock/paper as my colours and did some matting and layering. Even managed to get in a little faux stitching around the edge of the image. I used some accent pearls to finish the card off.

I hope you like.
Why not pop on over to our blog and enter the challenge.

Good luck and enjoy!!!

Good evening!!! Are you all having a good weekend? It's really been cold for the last few days. Hope we have some milder weather on it's way.

Gorjuss girl.

Good evening, hope this post finds you all well. Gosh it's been very cold today, even some snow flurries when I arrived home today. I am a bit of a moaner when it comes to snow etc. think it's because Bru (my hubby) works outside and I always feel for him and anybody else who have to work out in the elements.
So onto the card I've made this evening, it's a Gorjuss girl stamp, so lovely. My lovely friend Anne bought me a Gorjuss girl bag so as I can put my crafting things in it when I'm going to class etc. it's Gorjuss, everybody comments on it. Thank you Anne :0))). As usual I've used my copics to colour the image. Added a few embellishments and a sentiment too. Hope you like.
Anyway I'm so tired, so bed for me now. Thanks for stopping by. Hugs. Lou. Xx

Sweet bunny

Happy Tuesday everyone. It's a lovely sunny morning here in Lincolnshire. Very frosty though. Can't wait for spring to arrive. I really love spring, birds singing, lighter evenings and of course my favourite time of year....... Easter!!! There is a lovely smell of cinnamon when walking round the supermarket this time of year as they make hot cross buns. Mmm lovely.
The card I've made reminds me of Easter. I have used a Lili of the Valley stamp called butterfly meadow, also I've used the new collection of Paper from NitWit called country lady. Coloured my image with Copics, sentiments were from Lili of the Valley too.
Hope you all have a good day. I am off now to do some jobs. Happy Tuesday......hugs.
